Code of Conduct for Faculty and Staff

The faculty and staff of Khalsa Tri-Shatabadi Government Post Graduate College, Ratia (Fatehabad), Haryana follow the code of conduct prescribed by the Government of Haryana through the Department of Higher Education. The guidelines are governed by the Directorate of Higher Education, Haryana, along with relevant statutes, ordinances, and service rules.

Code of Conduct for Teaching Staff

Teachers are expected to uphold the dignity of the profession and contribute honestly and ethically towards the growth of the college. They are required to collaborate with the Principal and administration in furthering the academic and institutional objectives while respecting the rules and procedures of the college. Academic responsibilities must be performed with honesty, punctuality, and dedication, alongside administrative, invigilation, and evaluation duties.

The prescribed working hours for teaching staff are five and a half hours daily, in addition to any extra duty assigned. Teachers are required to sign the attendance register at the time of entry and exit. Engaging in external jobs or activities that may conflict with professional responsibilities is prohibited. Leave must be availed in accordance with prescribed rules, with advance intimation whenever possible.

Teachers are encouraged to pursue continuous professional development through research, study, publications, and participation in seminars and conferences. They are also expected to mentor and guide students in both curricular and co-curricular activities, treating every student equally irrespective of caste, creed, religion, gender, or socioeconomic background. Teachers are entrusted with the responsibility of instilling democratic values, humanism, peace, and respect for diversity. Participation in political activity within the campus is strictly forbidden.

Code of Conduct for Non-Teaching Staff

The non-teaching staff of the college are expected to adhere to the service rules laid down by the Directorate of Higher Education, Haryana. They are required to observe the working hours prescribed by the institution, with a one-hour lunch break on all working days. Cordial relations with teaching staff, students, and colleagues must be maintained to ensure smooth functioning of the college.

Non-teaching staff members must demonstrate professionalism through honesty, sincerity, punctuality, and discipline. Confidentiality regarding student and staff records or any sensitive matters must be strictly maintained. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or misconduct based on gender, religion, caste, sexuality, marital status, or socioeconomic background is strictly prohibited.
